Well, the little guys did nothing. Mommy did laundry. But seriously, that’s about all I did! Haha. It was a wonderful weekend of some much-needed rest for the busy week ahead.
This little guy is such a happy camper. If you say something to him that sounds like a question he automatically says “Mmm-Hmmm”. And nearly every time he enters a room he says “Hi, you!”, which is what Mommy always says to him. Such a sweetie!
Madeline was feeling moody this morning. Or sleepy. Or maybe Dopey? (are ya catching my 7 Dwarves reference? 😉
Emily being a silly willy.
After Sunday School we ALWAYS stop for “princess cookies” (sugar cookies) and juice. These little girls have some major fans at our local church. Maybe it’s Madeline’s “I’m up to no good” smirk?
New favorite thing: Sweeping the floor. Go for it, kiddos! They actually fight over who gets to use the broom. Good thing we have 2 brooms. Oh, wait, there are 3 of them…
Hey, while you’re at it, I can get you guys a bucket of suds and a mop…
This week I had meetings after work on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. PTO, staff meetings, etc. ate up all my time with my little guys. I came home Thursday night just exhausted, only to find that Grandma had sent us a BIG care package! Yippee! We opened it up and the girls took one look at the packing peanuts and squealed with joy.
It went something like this:
Madeline: “ABCDs!!!!” (cuz, you know, packing peanuts are kinda shaped like the letter ‘S’. I think?)
After some intense playtime with ABCDs, John attempted to corral the packing peanut chaos.
John: “Ok, girls, let’s put the ABCDs in a garbage bag.”
Emily: “And take them to SCHOOL!!”
Ummmmm…. Yeah… We’ll just keep them in that tall green can out back until school starts, Mmm-k?
The box was a big hit. Baby John had a lot of fun digging into the ABCDs. And sneakily trying to eat them. Why he thinks that’s a good idea is beyond me.
Logan joined the fun.
He got bored with the box, but found plenty of entertainment in making the packing peanuts rain on his sisters’ heads. Teenagers….
The bubble wrap was rolled out down the hallway and the kids ran up and down it. And up and down and up and down and up and down it.
What was in the box, you ask? Does it matter? The packaging itself provided for literally hours of entertainment!
I ended my week with some baby cuddles. I love this little guy. I sat down on the floor, just too tired to stand anymore at, like, 7 p.m. and he crawled into my lap. Precious!
Happy Friday friends, and have a blessed weekend!
