Let me tell you a story about how I got totally carried away on a tangent:
About 5 years ago I was working at a school that was taking its toll on me mentally and I joined an online support group for stress management. It ended up being the case that the best thing for my mental health was to leave that job, but in the meanwhile I got pretty good at recognizing when I was stressed and finding ways to relieve my stress.
Fast forward to about a week ago. I was working on a project with Cassidy over at Tuesday’s Tantrum on finding Mommy Stress Outlets. Little does she know (or maybe my blog title “Rushed Mommy” gives it away) I am practically an expert on keeping cool in stressful situations. I guess I can also chalk it up to my years of experience as an elementary school teacher. The point is, I got all sidetracked on the topic of stress relief because I think that helping others find a way to relieve their stress is a way that I could reach out to those in need and maybe brighten their day a little. But then I thought, well how boring is another list post when I can design a pretty image that sends the same message? And the result was this: My first infographic. 28 ways to lower stress 10 minutes or less.
Of course, after saving the file in a non-editable .pdf, I realized that things like taking a bath and a few others might require maybe 15 or 20 minutes, but you get the point. There are a lot of ways that you can lower stress in a short amount of time, freeing you up to rejoin society as a happier, less-stressed individual.
