I’ve been kinda busy (or, rushed, rather 🙂 ), so working out has become a fond memory of the past. Not that I am ok with giving up on exercise, it’s just that this is a tough time in our family’s lives for me to be escaping to the gym. HOWEVER, if you know me then you know I am a pretty health-conscious person. Lately, for the sake of saving time and also because I’ve been a tad lazy, I have been skipping the side dishes at meal times. Between my hubby and I, all meals here are home-cooked, and we used to at least have a salad with dinner. Not anymore. No healthy side dishes. Nada. Zip. Zilch.
Don’t get me wrong, there are fruits and veggies aplenty in this house. We just aren’t eating many of the vegetables, and they for sure aren’t making it to the dinner table!

So here is the plan: I am going to set a goal to serve a vegetable (and maybe fruit as well) as a side for every dinner. For 30 days. It’s too bad I decided on this plan on the 19th. It would be so much cooler if it was for a consecutive month. Oh, well. I’m too anxious to start eating better to wait until the first of next month!
As a personal side, I am also trying to make sure that I have a veggie with lunch, and a protein and veggie snack for mid-afternoon.
Eating better and getting exercise make you feel good in your soul. Really. So, as a starter, I figure we could at least try and eat better.
I love comments, please let me know what you think of my plan!
